When do the Bookmarks entries open?

Who can enter the Bookmarks?

Work entered must have been developed for a South African audience; or by a South African company for an international audience. Entries must have appeared online during the period 1 MARCH 2025 and 28 FEBRUARY 2026.

If two or more companies worked on a project, can they all enter the same work?

No – companies need to agree in advance who will submit the entry and agree on how the credits will be completed. If an entry is received from more than one company, only the first entry will be accepted. No refunds will be given on duplicate entries.

How do I know which category to enter?

Each entry is unique and should be considered against the specific criteria as laid out in the Categories & Criteria document. Please familiarise yourself with Bookmarks categories before submitting your entry. If you need any advice or assistance, please reach out to thebookmarks@iabsa.net

Will the entry categories stay the same every year?

No - The Bookmarks continue to strive for digital innovation, and will review categories annually to ensure they are up to date with current trends. Make sure you refer to the new 2026 Bookmarks categories.

What work can I enter into The Bookmarks?

Any work developed for a South African audience; or by a South African company for an international audience, which has appeared online during the eligibility period of 1 MARCH 2025 and 28 FEBRUARY 2026.

Publishing Category: entries may include work published in accordance with the press code AND work that appeared on commercial sites.

How much does it cost to enter The Bookmarks

Entry fees vary depending on the category. Discounts may be applied for early entries, and for IAB SA members. Please refer to the 2026 fee breakdown on The Bookmarks website.

Do I need consent or approval to enter work?

All work entered must be approved by the relevant client. All necessary permissions and agreements with third parties and/or other licenses must be obtained prior to the entr

How is the work judged?

The Bookmarks are judged anonymously over 2 rounds, by 9 panels of specialist judges.

Round 1 remote judging: Judges vote an entry “in” or “out”

Round 2 finalists: Judges convene via digital platform to judge finalists and determine the winners.

All judging is anonymous, and judges abstain from assessing work they may be connected to.

When will I know if my work has been shortlisted for an award?

Bookmarks finalists will be announced in the weeks before the Awards show. Follow Bookmarks and IAB SA social media to stay informed.

Where can I view the winning work?

Make sure you buy a ticket to attend The 2026 Bookmark Awards, taking place on 13 August in Johannesburg. Details to follow.

As a previous winner, how do I order duplicate trophies?

What is a project?

A project is a website that you build in Webflow. You can publish projects to a webflow.io staging subdomain for free, export the code on a paid plan, or add a site plan to connect your custom domain and unlock hosting features.

What can I white label?

Pro accounts can add their own logo to Client Billing forms and the Editor. Pro accounts can also remove references to Webflow in the source code and form submission emails, and hide the Webflow badge from their staging sites.

How much traffic can the hosting handle?

Webflow hosting scales automatically to handle millions of concurrent visits. All site plans serve sites through our Amazon's Cloudfront CDN and accelerated using Fastly, loading sites in milliseconds.

What kind of support does Webflow provide?

We offer fast email support to paid accounts and prioritized help for team accounts. Community support (forum.webflow.com) is available to free accounts.

How long does it take to learn Webflow?

If you're new to building websites, our video tutorials will get up and running quickly. If you already know concepts behind CSS and the box model, you will feel at home in Webflow.
